Just a few feet away from the sinkhole is a new karst window that has opened up in the last three or four years. You can see and hear water flowing about ten feet below the surface in the cave. Dr. Evans reported this feature to the late Dr. Thomson, Thomson arranged to have it explored. Apparently, it only goes a few feet in either direction before the passage becomes too narrow to navigate.
