Fall Arrives at Missouri
State University |
|

Fall is finally here.
After record setting warm temperatures only a week ago, it seemed autumn
would never come. But just as it always does, fall has finally arrived.
Scary jack-o-lanterns signal Halloween, the air turns crisp, and the
leaves begin their annual color show. On campus you see signs all
around-- football practice, the sounds of the Pride Band practicing for
the next week’s game, the moans and groans as students prepare for the
dreaded midterms. And with the new season, comes the biggest fall
tradition of all--Homecoming of course!
Make plans to join us
for the first Missouri State University Homecoming celebration this
weekend. (See more on Homecoming activities throughout the newsletter.)
As for other fall
happenings in the Marketing Department, COBA Career Day has come and
gone, new professors, Dr. Sarah Smith and Dr. Carlo Smith,
settle in to their new routines, Drs. Linda and Charlie
Pettijohn keep us posted on what’s happening as they spend the
semester in London and Dr. Diana Haytko,
Dr. Chuck Hermans and Dr. John
Kent all make preparations for the classes they will teach over
the winter holiday break in China.
As always, Fall is a
busy time in the Marketing Department. Between teaching, research,
extracurricular and recruitment activities, time is flying by. We do
invite you to learn more about some of the many activities of the season
as you peruse this edition of Marketing Highlights. So, for now, sit
back and enjoy getting acquainted or reacquainted with some of the great
people--students, faculty and alum--who make up the Missouri State
University Marketing Department family. |

REFLECTIONS |

We often
wonder if people really look at the Marketing Newsletter. Well, now I
can say with authority that you do! Last month’s photo of me with my
wife, Mary’s, chickens leaves no doubt that many saw it and felt
compelled to comment on the photo of “Farmer Luke.”
